This copycat recipe was developed to save money and offers the same high quality as the store-bought version.
These ginger shots are incredibly easy to make, and you can adjust the intensity of the ginger juice to your taste. All you need to make these healthy wellness shots at home is a juicer. They're super easy to make!
Ingredients for ginger shots:

- 250 g fresh ginger
- 2 lemons
- 1 liter of water
- Optional: Honey, turmeric, apple cider vinegar, orange, cayenne pepper or pineapple for added flavor and benefits
How to make ginger shots:
- Prepare the ginger by washing it thoroughly and cutting it into smaller pieces suitable for insertion into the juicer.
- Peel the lemons and cut them into quarters to make them easier to juice.
- Set up your juicer and start alternating between ginger pieces and lemon quarters.
- Collect the juice in a container.
- Once all the ginger pieces and lemon quarters have been juiced, mix the juice well and add a little honey or agave syrup to taste to balance the spiciness of the ginger.
- Pour the juice into small bottles or jars and store them in the refrigerator to keep them cool.
- Serve. Ginger shots are meant to be consumed all at once as a quick shot. Be careful not to consume more than one shot per day, as too much ginger can cause heartburn.

Vitamins, magnesium, and the trace elements copper and manganese also have anti-inflammatory, detoxifying, and pain-reducing effects . Due to its antioxidant properties, turmeric combats free radicals, which can cause cell damage if present in excess.
Due to its immune-boosting effect, the yellow root also protects against infection with germs and allergic reactions.
What effect does vitamin C have on your body?
Vitamin C generally has the disadvantage that it cannot be produced or stored by your body. In order for it to enter your body through the intestinal mucosa, you must consume it regularly through your diet.
This is especially important because vitamin C has antioxidant properties and can thus strengthen your immune system. If your body is infected with a virus (such as the coronavirus), it needs a higher dose of this vitamin than usual due to the increased inflammatory response.
Slow juicing for better health: How does using a slow juicer promote immune strengthening through gentle nutrient extraction?

To optimally combine ginger, turmeric, and vitamin C and strengthen your immune system, we present you two homemade ginger shot recipes for a boost—either with or without a juicer!
Recipe for ginger shots with turmeric WITHOUT a juicer
- Take 120 grams of fresh ginger and 60 grams of fresh turmeric , peel them, and chop them. (Alternatively, you can also use 1.5 teaspoons of turmeric powder.)
- Peel a lemon.
- Put all ingredients plus 50 milliliters of water into a blender or use a hand blender and mix.
- To avoid having to drink all the fibers, you can filter the drink through a fine sieve at the end.
Recipe for ginger shots with turmeric WITH juicer
If you have a juicer at hand, everything is a little easier:
- Take about 100 grams of fresh ginger and 50 grams of fresh turmeric , peel them, and chop them. (Alternatively, you can also use a teaspoon of turmeric powder.)
- Peel two lemons and put all ingredients together in the juicer.
- Optional: Apple and orange
If you want to tone down the spiciness of the ginger, you can add an apple or orange to both ginger shot recipes. You can also add water to dilute the drink a bit. Stored in an airtight bottle in the refrigerator, the drink will keep for up to a week.
